Connor Burns, an Oregon-bound senior from Southern Boone County High in Missouri, placed seventh in the Big River Running boys mile in 4:03.25 at the HOKA Festival of Miles at St. Louis University High. Burns ran 3:58.83 at the event last year as a junior, becoming the first 11th-grader in U.S. prep history to achieve a sub-4 performance since Jim Ryun.
